Criteria & assessment
We assess the opportunity as co-founders.
We look for founders with a real market advantage, access to customers and the resources to give the venture a credible start.
Criteria & assessment
Seven criteria
- 01Domain expertise
Deep knowledge of the problem and the market.
- 02Market potential
A market large enough to support a scalable business.
- 03Funding or exit path
A credible path to a funding round or strategic exit.
- 04Development budget
At least €150,000 available for development in year one.
- 05Runway
At least 18 months of operating runway.
- 06Customer access
Concrete use cases and customers ready to engage.
- 07Cultural fit
Low ego, shared accountability and a willingness to build together.
These thresholds apply to the founder co-building and participation route. They are not entry conditions for a module licence, a regular build or the partner programme.
Criteria & assessment
How the assessment works
- 01
Introduction
A first conversation about the problem, the market and where you are today.
- 02
Market, customer and product review
We look at the opportunity, your customer access and the current state of the product or prototype.
- 03
Technical and financial assessment
Architecture, Backbone fit, budget and runway. No automatic score, no simulated offer.
- 04
Joint decision and proposal
We decide together whether and how to build, and put the proposal in writing.
How the build can be financed
Depending on the opportunity, we may agree a paid build, equity participation, a convertible loan, deferred development fees or a combination.
Percentages, valuation, caps and governance are part of the individual agreement, not of this page.
